Workday Financials Analyst

Location: Chicago (Green St), Illinois, United States

Salary: $84,723.57–$125,000 per year, plus bonus and/or commission eligibility.

What you will do

• Administer, configure, and support Workday Financial Management, including business processes, security, reporting, and system governance.
• Translate Finance and business requirements into scalable Workday solutions and identify automation and process-improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain integrations and data flows across Workday Financial Management, Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, ERP systems, data warehouses, and enterprise applications.
• Manage reports, dashboards, calculated fields, data loads, access controls, roles, domains, and permissions.
• Support Adaptive Planning architecture and configuration for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and workforce planning.
• Support releases, testing, enhancements, deployment, issue resolution, documentation, and collaboration with vendors and internal teams.

Requirements

• Experience administering and supporting Workday Financial Management, including configuration, business processes, security, reporting, and integrations.
• Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and its use in budgeting and forecasting.
• Knowledge of financial business processes, accounting concepts, and financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Experience with integrations, APIs, data imports and exports, enterprise data flows, and Workday reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Preferred: 3–5+ years of Workday Financial Management experience and a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday HCM or other ERP systems.
• Experience with SQL, ETL tools, or integration platforms.
• Experience supporting Finance transformation, automation, or system-optimization initiatives.
