Senior Consultant – Functional Specialist (Workday Financials)

Location: United States; primarily remote. Occasional travel to client sites and Alpha offices may be required based on project needs, implementation milestones, and team collaboration.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 USD per year, plus eligibility for a variable bonus.

What you will do

• Configure Workday Financials tenants and business processes across assigned modules, including General Ledger, Procure-to-Pay, Expenses, Projects, Billing, and Accounting Center.
• Support discovery and design workshops by documenting requirements, decisions, and configuration approaches.
• Execute unit and system testing, troubleshoot configuration defects, document issues, and coordinate retesting.
• Prepare, map, validate, load, and reconcile data using Workday-supported tools and templates.
• Produce configuration workbooks, design documents, test scripts, process documentation, and other functional deliverables.
• Collaborate with client SMEs, functional leads, and technical, data, reporting, and security resources while managing assigned delivery tasks and risks.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on Workday Financials configuration experience.
• Experience with at least two full-lifecycle Workday deployments.
• Practical skills in configuration, testing, data manipulation, documentation, and problem-solving.
• Experience in one or more Workday Financials specialties, such as General Ledger, Procure-to-Pay, Projects, Expenses, Billing, Accounting Center, or reporting.
• Active Workday Financial Management / Financials Core certification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with functional leads and client stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Relevant Workday module specialty certifications in Procure-to-Pay, Projects, Accounting Center, Expenses, or Reporting.
