EHS Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Woodstock, Illinois, United States; Woodstock Plant

Salary: $89,800–$112,200 gross annual base salary, plus performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Manage Operational Risk Management programs covering safety and health, environment, business continuity, facility security, asset conservation, DOT, and pandemic planning.
• Implement EHS policies, procedures, annual operating plans, and action plans while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage the local EHS budget and execute strategies and initiatives to improve safety and environmental performance.
• Conduct EHS training, audits, assessments, emergency response activities, and risk assessments.
• Identify unsafe equipment and conditions, verify control effectiveness, and implement physical or behavioral corrective measures.
• Lead root cause analyses and corrective action plans while coordinating continuous EHS improvement with site leadership.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of managerial experience in EHS.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, public speaking, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively, make independent decisions, maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and related PC software.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety and environmental management, industrial hygiene, or an equivalent field is preferred.
• Experience with EHS management systems, EHS auditing, and applicable OSHA/EPA regulations is preferred.

Nice to have

• CHCM, OSHA 30-hour, ergonomics, CSP, ASP, CIH, or CHMM certification.
• Safety management experience in consumer packaged goods, distribution and transportation, manufacturing, or grocery.
