Control Systems Engineer

Salary: $91,000–$123,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop biddable SCADA and control-systems construction documents, including P&IDs, network architecture diagrams, control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, installation details, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate control-systems design with electrical, process, mechanical, structural, and civil engineering disciplines.
• Write and edit instrumentation and controls specifications and select process instrumentation, monitoring devices, control panels, and network equipment.
• Lead or support SCADA and network master planning, design reviews, client meetings, preliminary engineering reports, and control-system improvement studies.
• Travel to client facilities to assess and document installed control systems and participate in field activities.
• Support construction administration, change management, system testing, and commissioning; supervise and develop staff as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer license, PE or P.Eng.
• At least 5 years of applicable experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to make significant engineering decisions and coordinate design work through construction document phases.
