Lead Electrical Engineer (Facilities Engineering)

What you will do

• Lead electrical engineers and collaborate with MEP engineers, trade partners, facility technicians, and internal customers.
• Design and specify electrical power distribution, switchgear, motor control centers, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, lightning protection, and data and phone distribution systems.
• Support UPS units, standby and emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, power monitoring systems, and facility controls.
• Provide engineering support for electrical equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, load flow analysis, and equipment evaluation.
• Coordinate electrical installations and maintenance with local utility personnel and ensure equipment interfaces with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Review designs and installations for compliance with applicable electrical, fire, building, and safety codes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience with electrical projects, power distribution systems, switchgear, UPS units, and/or generators.
• Ability to read power and control schematics and technical equipment operation and maintenance manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, prioritization, and scheduling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and work with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of management experience and 5 or more years of experience in a similar role.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Experience with variable frequency drives, industrial pumps, MODBUS controls, medium-voltage distribution, and control panel design.
• Working knowledge of power coordination and arc-flash analysis.
