Graduate Electrical Engineer

Location: On-site in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Travel required: 10–25%.

What you will do

• Generate electrical one-line diagrams for complex electrical infrastructures.
• Support the design and layout of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with design intent and specifications.
• Conduct site visits, identify discrepancies between design documents and field conditions, and assist with construction-phase issue resolution.
• Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and design documents using engineering software.
• Participate in client meetings, design-build coordination, contractor discussions, and multidisciplinary project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• 2–4 years of experience in electrical consulting or a similar role.
• Ability to work under the direction of a registered Professional Engineer and accept technical supervision.
• Ability to manage electrical discussions during client-facing meetings.
• Willingness to learn applicable codes, standards, regulations, design methods, and construction techniques.

Nice to have

• Engineer-in-Training certification.
