Supplier Quality Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan; onsite

Salary: NT$1,131,599.57–NT$1,530,987.65 TWD

What you will do

• Oversee supplier and contract manufacturer quality against drawings, specifications, process requirements, and production-readiness expectations.
• Plan, conduct, and document supplier process, system, and product audits.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, supplier containment, and material review activities.
• Qualify suppliers and components for new product introduction, including PPAP/FAI reviews, sample builds, readiness reviews, and ramp-up support.
• Drive supplier improvement initiatives focused on process capability, defect reduction, yield, and quality KPIs.
• Develop and maintain supplier quality procedures, work instructions, and engineering standards.

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of supplier quality experience in semiconductor, high-tech, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience with supplier audits, PPAP/FAI, RCA/CAPA, SPC, and control plans.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to travel to supplier facilities up to approximately 30%.

Nice to have

• Experience with contract manufacturers in mechanical or electromechanical assembly.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent quality management systems.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab.
