Supplier Quality Engineer Manager (SMT and Assembly)

What you will do

• Manage several key JDM suppliers and drive their overall quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Set up and release manufacturing quality and processes for new projects awarded to JDM suppliers.
• Monitor and improve supplier quality throughout mass production.
• Lead continuous improvement and productivity projects using quality and IE methodologies.
• Lead supplier performance development based on supplier development strategies and quarterly scorecards.
• Lead new supplier qualification and support customer requirement continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• More than 6 years of engineering or quality experience and a BS/MS degree in engineering.
• Hands-on supplier development experience covering quality and processes, with SMT and assembly line (FATP) experience required.
• Professional knowledge of PFMEA, PMP plans, SPC, GR&R, Six Sigma, PDCA, and DMAIC, applied to NPI and mass-production improvement.
• Experience leading teams and delivering measurable supplier performance improvements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English required; frequent travel is expected.

Nice to have

• Chinese language skills.
• Supplier quality process audit experience.
• Electronic product or mechanical-part process and quality-control experience.
• Productivity improvement experience using IE methodology.
