Manufacturing Ops Lead (Semiconductor)

Location: Hybrid, based out of Taiwan; New Taipei City

Company

Develops AI computing technology spanning RISC-V CPUs, software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors.

What you will do

• Lead NPI, pilot, ramp, and sustaining builds across system integrators, mechanical suppliers, and OSAT partners.
• Own factory engagement and supplier execution across materials, processes, fixtures, test capacity, labor, and documentation.
• Establish operating cadences and performance management for output, WIP, shortages, yield, throughput, defects, rework, cycle time, and shipment readiness.
• Resolve yield excursions, test failures, process drift, workmanship defects, material nonconformance, and schedule risks using structured quality methods.
• Build supplier accountability through scorecards, performance reviews, escalation paths, corrective-action tracking, audits, and change management.
• Lead and develop a Taiwan-based organization spanning supplier quality, production engineering, manufacturing test, and technician functions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in hardware, electronics, systems, or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on leadership and people-management experience across supplier quality, production engineering, manufacturing test, and technician teams.
• Experience managing Taiwan or broader Asia-based suppliers and contract manufacturers, including escalations, corrective actions, and capability improvements.
• Clear English communication skills for collaboration with global engineering, quality, supply chain, program, factory, and supplier stakeholders.
• Mandarin capability is strongly preferred.
• Employment is contingent on eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology; citizenship, permanent residency, or prior U.S. Commerce Department license approval may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience with 8D, CAPA, SPC, FMEA, control plans, and DOE.
• Experience with electromechanical systems, semiconductor back-end production, supplier development, audit readiness, and test strategy.
