Project Manager, Capital Projects (Construction)

Location: Based at Scion's Chicago corporate headquarters, United States; willingness to travel 50% or more annually is required.

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 USD annual base salary, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage capital projects from inception through completion, ensuring compliance with budgets, schedules, warranties, quality standards, and contractual deadlines.
• Plan projects, create schedules, and perform cost analysis.
• Communicate project scope, status, and schedules to corporate and property stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with bidding, contracting, and governance requirements.
• Review change orders, obtain approvals, investigate variances, and prepare variance reports.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable on contractor payments and final lien waivers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of project management and supervisory experience, preferably in student housing or a similar multifamily sector.
• College degree preferred; Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is advantageous.
• Eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more per year.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong communication, planning, problem-solving, adaptability, and commitment to high standards.
