GTM Compensation Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California or New York, New York

Salary: $230,000–$257,000 base salary per year for roles based in San Francisco or New York City

What you will do

• Own GTM commission strategy, compensation plan design, and execution for the go-to-market organization.
• Map the current GTM compensation operating model and publish a roadmap for evolving the function as the organization grows.
• Introduce AI-assisted workflows for inbound question triage, payout estimation, discrepancy detection, and compensation-calendar reminders.
• Build planning-cycle frameworks covering design inputs, trade-offs, decision rights, and timelines across GTM, Finance, and Commercial Operations.
• Provide board-level reporting on plan health, payout accuracy, systems quality, and key design decisions.

Requirements

• Demonstrated judgment balancing Finance discipline, accuracy, controls, and GTM effectiveness.
• Strong financial modeling and data fluency, with the ability to turn complex plan mechanics into clear recommendations and executive-ready narratives.
• Experience leading transformative operational projects from design through rollout, including cross-functional alignment and change management.
• Experience building and maintaining quarterly operating cadences, calendars, communication frameworks, and repeatable review processes.
• AI-fluent operating style, including using AI to improve decisions, automate checks, identify discrepancies, and build self-service workflows.
