Global Benefits Operations Manager

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco or Boston, United States

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead benefits workstreams for transitions from EORs to owned entities, including plan setup, statutory enrollments, and employee communications.
• Evaluate vendors and manage the migration from the PEO to direct US benefits administration, including carrier, broker, payroll, and HRIS coordination.
• Own benefits operations covering enrollments, renewals, mid-year changes, offboarding, and issue-resolution SLAs.
• Advise on complex benefits, leave of absence, and time-off cases while partnering with Legal, brokers, and external counsel.
• Administer parental, medical, and disability leave policies across jurisdictions.
• Design scalable, documented benefits processes and maintain accurate information across HRIS, benefits portals, intranet, and handbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of benefits experience.
• Experience managing benefits in a hypergrowth or new-market-entry environment.
• Strong working knowledge of US benefits, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and 401(k).
• Working knowledge of EMEA and/or APAC benefits and statutory requirements.
• Experience with PEOs, EORs, HRIS, and benefits administration platforms.
• Ability to manage compliance across US federal and state requirements, as well as Canadian federal and provincial requirements.
