Location: Remote in the Charlottesville, VA area or Minnesota; hybrid options in St. Paul, Duluth, Minnetonka, Mankato, Rochester, Brainerd, MN, or Hudson, WI. Employees cannot reside in AK, AR, CA, CT, DE, HI, KY, MA, RI, VT, or PR.
Base compensation: $90,000–$125,000 annually, based on skills and experience.

What you will do
- Assess plant control systems with clients and develop project approaches.
- Prepare P&ID drawings, system network drawings, controls specifications, process narratives, and software and hardware selections.
- Program PLCs, OITs, and SCADA systems, tune processes, and implement control narratives.
- Implement new control strategies, processes, and instruments in existing systems.
- Coordinate with external integration companies and manage project deliverables.
- Diagnose system faults and process control issues and perform commissioning activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related field from an accredited college.
- Experience preparing design documents for bidding and supporting construction administration services.
- Experience with PLC ladder logic programming, tag development, and HMI/OIT system development.
- Required GE/Emerson PME PLC and GE/Emerson Cimplicity programming experience.
- Knowledge of process controls system commissioning and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- Ignition experience, preferably with Gold Certification.
- 5–15 years of professional experience.
- Professional Engineer license or ability to become licensed.
- Water and wastewater utility experience.
- Project management experience or interest in developing project management skills.
