IT Systems and Identity Engineer

Location: Remote position for US locations

Annual base compensation: $83,300–$112,700 for most US locations; 5%–10% higher for US locations with a higher cost of labor.

What you will do

• Own secure identity and access configuration, provisioning, and lifecycle management across Okta, AWS, GitHub, Google Cloud, Google Workspace, and other systems of record.
• Manage the macOS, Windows, and Linux endpoint fleet through MDM, including compliance baselines and automated deployment.
• Own office LAN, Wi-Fi, audio-visual, conferencing, and computing systems remotely.
• Build automation and self-service tooling based on ticket trends, reducing repetitive help desk requests and resolving root causes.
• Act as a technical escalation point for help desk issues and support employee onboarding, provisioning, access management, and deprovisioning.
• Partner with Security on SOC 2 audit readiness, access reviews, weekly sprints, and IT projects.

Requirements

• Experience with macOS, Windows 11, Linux, Okta SAML, GitHub, Slack, Google Workspace, Jamf, Zoom, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience in a fast-paced IT organization focused on security, automation, and system reliability.
• Experience configuring and maintaining common small-office networking products.
• Experience automating with scripting languages such as Bash.
• Ability to work as a regional operator in a geographically diverse, fully remote team with mostly asynchronous communication.
• Comfortable working in spoken and written English; hirify.global participates in E-Verify to confirm employee work authorization.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Japanese.
• Knowledge of Node.js or Python.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks.
