TL;DR
2nd Shift Production Supervisor I (Manufacturing Operations): Directing second-shift manufacturing operations and hourly production teams with an accent on production planning, safety, quality, staffing, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on executing production schedules, improving productivity and key performance indicators, troubleshooting shop-floor challenges, and maintaining accurate inventory and equipment capacity.

Location: On-site in Schofield, Wisconsin, United States; second shift.

Starting base pay: $76,000–$95,408 per year.

What you will do

  • Directly supervise hourly production team members and set performance expectations.
  • Execute daily production plans, monitor variance to plan, and recommend staffing or capacity adjustments.
  • Coordinate with engineering, scheduling, shipping, inventory control, sales, purchasing, maintenance, and production management.
  • Lead onboarding, training, cross-training, performance reviews, communications, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain 5S and safety standards, conduct monthly safety training, and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Use ERP and manufacturing systems to support labor, production, attendance, inventory, and operational processes.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of relevant work experience and 1–2 years of relevant leadership experience.
  • Two-year associate degree in supply chain, operations management, engineering, business administration, management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work on-site at the Schofield, Wisconsin location on the second shift.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, safety standards, inventory management, and applicable labor regulations.
  • Minimum travel is required.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, engineering, business administration, management, or a related field.
  • Experience with Excel pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • SAP experience.
