Director Clinical Pharmacology & DMPK (Clinical Pharmacology)

Location: South San Francisco, CA, United States; onsite Tuesday–Thursday

Salary: $200,000–$240,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead clinical pharmacology strategy, dose selection, and PK/PD and biomarker planning across early- and late-stage programs.
• Conduct and interpret PK, PK/PD, exposure–response, and simulation analyses using NONMEM, WinNonlin, R, Python, and Simcyp.
• Integrate translational and nonclinical PK/PD data to support first-in-human dose projections and drug–drug interaction assessments.
• Oversee bioanalytical CROs and ensure high-quality PK/PD and biomarker data with GLP/GCP compliance.
• Partner with Clinical Operations on sample management and protocol design.
• Communicate quantitative findings and contribute to protocols, investigator brochures, INDs, NDAs, and IMPDs while collaborating with cross-functional development teams.

Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, or equivalent degree in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacology, or a related field.
• 6–8+ years of industry experience in Clinical Pharmacology, DMPK, or Quantitative Pharmacology.
• Strong expertise in PK, PK/PD, DMPK, and translational sciences.
• Proficiency with NONMEM, WinNonlin, Simcyp, R, and Python.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work onsite in South San Francisco Tuesday–Thursday.
