Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. The role follows a 70/30 work model with significant in-office collaboration. Only U.S. persons, including citizens, permanent residents, asylees, or refugees, are eligible because of U.S. export control requirements.
Salary: $196,700–$353,400 annually, with potential eligibility for a discretionary bonus, additional incentive compensation, or equity awards.

What you will do
- Define and execute QSP strategy across therapeutic areas and modalities.
- Lead mechanistic, disease-progression, target-engagement, immune-dynamics, and biomarker modeling for discovery through clinical development.
- Integrate multidimensional data and biological knowledge into multi-scale models supporting translation and portfolio decisions.
- Partner with clinical pharmacology, translational medicine, DMPK, research, bioinformatics, clinical development, and platform sciences.
- Provide QSP input for INDs, investigator brochures, regulatory filings, and Health Authority interactions.
- Lead internal contributors, matrix partners, vendors, CROs, and academic collaborators while shaping capability development and talent strategy.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in systems pharmacology, bioengineering, applied mathematics, pharmacology, or a related quantitative discipline; exceptional M.S. candidates with 20+ years of relevant experience may be considered.
- 10+ years of industry or equivalent QSP/mechanistic-modeling experience, including at least 7 years supporting oncology drug development and deep immuno-oncology expertise.
- Proven experience applying mechanistic and translational models from preclinical development through clinical programs.
- Strong understanding of PK/PD, systems biology, disease-pathway modeling, and biomarker integration.
- Proficiency with MATLAB/SimBiology, Monolix, R, or Python, plus experience in scientific leadership and mentoring.
- Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export-control laws; non-U.S. persons are not eligible for this position.
Nice to have
- Experience with mRNA, gene therapy, biologics, T cell engagers, adoptive cell therapy, or other cancer immunotherapy approaches.
- Familiarity with PBPK modeling, virtual populations, or digital-twin simulation.
- Experience building scalable modeling infrastructure and data-integration toolchains.
- Scientific publications and visibility through external forums, journals, or conferences.
