Quality Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Bradford, United Kingdom; office based with frequent visits to UK manufacturing plants and customers, and occasional visits to hirify.global locations across Europe

hirify.global operates manufacturing plants and develops products, product improvements, and cost-reduction programs for customers.

What you will do

• Maintain quality and hygiene management systems and facilitate internal and external certification audits.
• Prepare policies, procedures, work instructions, standards, and specifications with internal departments, customers, and suppliers.
• Investigate customer and supplier complaints, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions with Sales, Quality Control, Production, Purchasing, and suppliers.
• Support new product introduction, product improvements, and cost-reduction programs as the Quality contact.
• Use data, root cause analysis, lean tools, process capability, and statistical control to improve quality and eliminate waste.
• Set plant quality objectives, coach Quality personnel and other departments, and provide KPI and scorecard reporting.

Requirements

• Degree in a technical, manufacturing, or business subject.
• At least 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership or management experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Knowledge of SPC and control cards, with strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, email, customer complaint management software, 8D, Ishikawa, and 5 Whys.
• Ability to work from the Bradford office and travel frequently to UK manufacturing plants and customer sites.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green Belt.
• APQP familiarity.
• Experience in fast-moving manufacturing, BRC/IoP food or food packaging requirements, or TS 16949/IATF 16949.
• NEBOSH qualification.
