Materials Specialist (Supply Chain/Inventory Management): Coordinating material availability, inventory accuracy, receipts, and changeovers to support on-time manufacturing and customer delivery with an accent on cycle counting, stock optimization, and material issue resolution. Focus on implementing inventory reduction projects, maintaining master data and safety stocks, and improving shop-floor replenishment and routing processes.

Location: On-site in Schofield, Wisconsin, United States

Starting base pay: $69,581–$85,953 per year.

What you will do

  • Coordinate with scheduling, purchasing, production supervision, planners, and engineering to resolve material issues affecting customer delivery and production schedules.
  • Ensure parts and raw materials are available in manufacturing areas through organized stocking, labeling, inventory relief, and proactive discrepancy resolution.
  • Coordinate cycle counting, inventory receipts, storage activities, inventory reports, safety stock reviews, and excess or obsolete inventory monitoring.
  • Coordinate engineering and item change notices to support timely model and component changeovers while reducing scrap and obsolete stock.
  • Set up inventory master data for new parts and prepare shop-floor paperwork for warehouse and inventory management.
  • Support product development by defining process flows, routings, replenishment policies, capacity planning, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in materials or inventory management.
  • Two-year associate degree in supply chain, operations management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • APICS certification.
  • Ability to work on-site at the Schofield, Wisconsin location.
  • Ability to work in an office environment, operate standard office equipment, perform repetitive hand and wrist motions, and occasionally attend in-person meetings.
