Team Leader - 1st Shift Maintenance (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead and support maintenance operations to achieve safety, quality, uptime, and productivity goals.
• Coordinate daily schedules and work assignments according to production priorities.
• Monitor workflow, adjust resources, and troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Manage maintenance parts, tools, and supplies inventory.
• Track maintenance activities, equipment performance, and statistical process control records.
• Train, mentor, and guide team members while supporting Lean Manufacturing and workplace organization initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous leadership experience required.
• Ability to perform all essential functions of the applicable Maintenance Technician role.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, decision-making, and independent working skills.
• Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and follow all safety policies and work instructions.

Nice to have

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• Maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, including 5S, value stream concepts, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with project coordination, maintenance planning, maintenance systems, inventory management, or process improvement tools.
• Previous experience building Pierce products.
