Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift (Industrial Machinery)

Location: Lakeville, Minnesota, United States; onsite, 3rd shift

Salary: $34.56/hour starting wage plus $1.50/hour for the 3rd-shift differential. The hourly rate may be negotiated based on relevant mechanical experience.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair industrial machinery, production equipment, building equipment, and facility systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions using diagrams, manuals, schematics, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments.
• Work with production personnel, contractors, vendors, and OEMs to diagnose and repair plant equipment.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment and instrumentation while controlling equipment downtime.
• Document maintenance actions, irregularities, parts usage, and continuing needs in the computer system and CMMS.

Requirements

• Related mechanical experience in automotive, heavy equipment, millwright, industrial machinery, or a similar field.
• Ability to read machine part lists, preventive maintenance manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficiency with CMMS and other computer functions required for the role.
• Ability to use rules, calipers, micrometers, alignment tools, and other measuring instruments.
• Ability to operate forklifts, high lifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and related equipment.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, rotating shifts, and in a safety-sensitive production environment.

Nice to have

• Boiler experience or a Special Boiler Operator License.
• Willingness to obtain a Special Boiler Operator License within the first six months.
