Electrical Engineer II - Embedded Systems Test (Embedded Systems)

Location: East Providence, Rhode Island, USA; office environment. Travel required: approximately 10%.

What you will do

• Develop and execute test plans for embedded systems using mixed-signal circuits with microcontrollers, FPGAs, power conversion, and analog components.
• Design and maintain automated and manual test setups using SBCs, PCs, custom test hardware, and standard communication interfaces.
• Collaborate with firmware and design engineers to create test scripts, tools, and diagnostics using Python, C, C++, HDL, and LabView.
• Implement verification and validation protocols, perform testing, analyze results, and debug system and hardware failures.
• Evaluate new technologies, support competitive benchmarking, and provide testing support through product development, production launch, and post-launch software releases.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in systems, test, or integration engineering for electro-mechanical products with embedded systems, real-time control, and digital communication interfaces.
• Expertise in test system development, including schematic capture, BOM creation, and PCB layout using OrCAD with EDM or similar CAD software.
• Familiarity with the firmware development process.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with C, C++, LabView, or HDL is preferred.
• Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, mechanical, computer engineering, or computer science.
• Ability to collaborate with a global team.
