Systems & Applications Engineer, Entry Level (Embedded) (ARM/C/C++): Supporting customer applications for ARM-based microcontrollers, developing embedded code and peripheral software examples, and testing and debugging chip functionality with laboratory instruments with an accent on embedded programming, signal validation, and customer-facing technical communication. Focus on debugging peripherals with IDE tools, measuring timing and signal characteristics, managing source code, and documenting test results.

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite at Holger Way

Salary: $117,800–$162,000 annually

What you will do

Provide customer applications support for NXP ARM-based microcontrollers.
Develop C and C++ code for embedded systems and create software examples for peripherals.
Test embedded peripherals and debug chips using IDEs and electronic test instruments.
Measure chip signals, rise times, timing, clocks, and related characteristics.
Manage source code, record test results, and present technical material to customers.

Requirements

Experience with embedded processors and ARM processors.
Experience developing C and C++ code for embedded systems.
Familiarity with debugging tools and IDEs such as Keil, IAR, and MCUXpresso.
Strong presentation skills and ability to interact with customers.
Bachelor's degree required; a master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Degree completed within the past two years.
