Senior Procurement Advisor (Biotech)

Location: Pennington, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 per year, depending on experience and skill set.

What you will do

• Manage procurement of materials, CAPEX, and services.
• Lead purchasing and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Negotiate and execute contracts, including MSAs, annual contracts, and bids.
• Collaborate with production teams, functional managers, vendors, and cross-functional partners to address procurement needs and mitigate risks.
• Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations, service levels, and business requirements.
• Maintain material codes and procurement configurations in ERP/SAP and S2P programs while following global procurement procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Buyer or Lead Buyer.
• Knowledge of industry bidding procedures and criteria.
• Strong contract management, negotiation, communication, influencing, collaboration, project management, and change management skills.
• Advanced ability to present complex information using Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP; familiarity with ERP/SAP systems is required.
• Experience working with multicultural teams and using KPI programs to improve efficiency.

Nice to have

• GMP Pharma or Biopharma purchasing experience.
• Experience with contract development and execution.
• Data- and cost-driven decision-making skills.
• Ability to mentor junior buyers and planners.
