Planning & Purchasing Manager (Life Sciences)

Salary: $87,600–$144,000 annually

What you will do

• Manage daily purchasing activities, purchase orders, supplier commitments, delivery schedules, and supply risks.
• Build supplier relationships, monitor performance, lead supplier reviews, and drive corrective actions to improve delivery reliability.
• Support replenishment planning, inventory health, material availability, customer fulfillment, and backlog reduction.
• Maintain purchasing, supplier, inventory, lead-time, and safety-stock data in ERP systems.
• Track supply chain metrics using Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet, or similar reporting tools.
• Manage, coach, and develop purchasing team members while collaborating with Planning, Customer Service, Warehouse, Operations, Finance, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, planning, inventory, supply chain operations, supplier management, or materials management.
• 5+ years of experience managing supplier relationships and improving delivery performance preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing or leading purchasing or supply chain personnel preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems required; Microsoft Dynamics AX experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and advanced Excel skills required.

Nice to have

• Power BI, Smartsheet, Lean, continuous improvement, distribution, life sciences, or regulated industry experience.
