Senior Staff Supplier Relationship (Biotech)

Location: US - Bay Area - Hayward; onsite, full-time

Base salary: $148,500–$222,700 per year, plus eligible bonus or commission and potential equity.

What you will do

• Lead sustaining sourcing activities, roadmap creation, and category strategy implementation for on-market products.
• Manage supply assurance escalations, supplier risk mitigation, business continuity, technical and financial risk reviews.
• Lead supplier business reviews and collaborate with R&D, Operations, Quality, and regional teams to improve supplier performance.
• Drive cost reduction, value engineering, cost negotiation, resourcing, and alternative supplier or part qualification initiatives.
• Negotiate supply, scheduling, consignment, statement of work, and confidentiality agreements to reduce risk, cost, and inventory levels.
• Establish supplier governance and ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, data, and procure-to-pay processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of related experience, Master’s degree with 8 years, PhD with 5 years, or equivalent experience.
• International sourcing and supplier management experience, with strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and influencing skills.
• Ability to understand supplier cost drivers, financial reporting, category trends, and supply chain risks.
• Experience working across culturally diverse global teams and managing multiple priorities under pressure.
• Expertise with Ariba, SAP, and Quickbase; proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
