Senior Buyer (Life Sciences)

Location: Onsite in San Jose, California, United States; core department hours are 9am–3pm, with minimal travel within North America.

Salary: $79,800–$131,100 annually.

What you will do

• Lead procurement activities for complex and critical materials to maintain uninterrupted supply.
• Manage supplier performance, delivery issues, and inventory risks independently.
• Analyze supply, demand, and inventory trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Resolve complex purchasing and supply issues using sound judgment and experience.
• Build cross-functional partnerships and drive purchasing and supply chain improvements.
• Train and mentor lower-level Buyers on purchasing processes, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing.
• Advanced experience with ERP or MRP systems.
• Required experience in regulated environments, including ISO 9001 or ISO 13485.
• Advanced knowledge of purchasing, inventory, and supply chain principles.
• Must have U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.
