Product Management Director (Data & AI)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid

Salary: $231,600–$330,000 per year if located in Illinois, plus bonus eligibility and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a Data & AI product portfolio.
• Discover and validate high-impact use cases with attorneys, legal professionals, and business teams.
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable product initiatives with measurable value.
• Evaluate AI tools and platforms, manage proprietary AI solutions end to end, and make build-versus-buy decisions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product management team.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, and Data Governance to deliver secure, high-quality solutions and drive cross-functional alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years in product management and 5 years leading teams.
• Proven experience taking products from discovery through execution and delivering measurable outcomes in complex, matrixed environments.
• Expertise in user research, roadmap development, backlog management, prioritization, experimentation, and iterative delivery.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering, Design, and Data Governance teams to build scalable products.
• Exceptional executive presence, communication, analytical, influencing, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with discretion in handling confidential information.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience evaluating, integrating, and launching AI-enabled tools and solutions.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms, data-as-a-product principles, and enterprise data ecosystems.
• Knowledge of the legal or professional services industry.
• Experience with geographically dispersed teams and agile delivery methodologies.
