Software Product Manager, AI

Location: Remote - Illinois, United States

Salary: $159,490–$267,742 per year, plus benefits, 401(k) contribution, and eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Own the AI product roadmap, defining the vision, strategy, priorities, and success metrics for AI-powered features.
• Research customer needs, analyze product performance, and identify AI use cases that improve safety, security, convenience, engagement, and subscription revenue.
• Partner with product, data science, engineering, design, operations, security, legal, and business stakeholders to convert business goals into technical requirements and deliverables.
• Lead product execution through requirements definition, backlog management, agile development, commercialization, and sustaining support.
• Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, model selection, data pipelines, and infrastructure requirements for scalable AI deployment.
• Develop product portfolio, go-to-market, business case, and connected-experience strategies aligned with software, hardware, and business-unit objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5+ years of product management, engineering, or product ownership experience, including 2+ years focused on AI/ML products.
• Strong understanding of GenAI, machine learning concepts, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with agile and Scrum methodologies, product backlog management, and user-centric product design.
• Ability to work in a matrixed software development environment and travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced technical degree.
• Experience with hardware and software offerings or product portfolios spanning multiple categories.
• Track record of defining and launching software products in fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives.
