Optical Manager, Licensed – Sam’s Club

Hourly wage: $37.00–$49.00 per hour, plus possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

Walmart and Sam’s Club operate retail Vision Centers and provide eyewear, optical services, and member-focused shopping experiences.

What you will do

• Drive Vision Center sales through merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, inventory availability, budgeting, forecasting, and market analysis.
• Provide and oversee customer service, resolve member concerns, and guide Associates on service standards.
• Ensure quality eyewear services, including product consultation, measurements, prescription verification, minor frame repair, and optical equipment maintenance.
• Maintain compliance with company and legal requirements through reporting, asset protection, safety, quality assurance, and performance improvement plans.
• Hire, train, mentor, supervise, recognize, and develop Vision Center Associates.
• Coordinate assignments and initiatives with stakeholders while tracking goals, accountability, results, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of two or more years of college, or qualifying retail, supervisory, general work, and optical experience combination.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and rules.
• Ability to supervise Associates and maintain confidentiality of prescriptions, records, and other information.
• Ability to work onsite at the Easley, South Carolina Sam’s Club location.
