General Manager - Optical

Location: 19 NW Barry Road, Kansas City, Missouri, United States; onsite retail store role.

What you will do

• Oversee daily store operations, including staffing, inventory, bookkeeping, planning, and policy enforcement.
• Lead, train, coach, and develop associates while recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and retaining talent.
• Manage store sales, profitability, budgets, supplies, merchandising, promotions, and business performance.
• Monitor customer and patient experiences and partner with the Doctor to support quality care.
• Conduct audits, maintain service and merchandising standards, and ensure facility, safety, and corporate compliance.
• Communicate with the District Manager and provide accurate operational and performance reporting.

Requirements

• 5+ years of retail experience.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach, and build strong associate relationships.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of store operations and business performance, with a focus on customer service and sales.
• Optical industry knowledge and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience are preferred.
