Location: Beltsville, Maryland, United States; care is delivered in clinics and may also be provided virtually through telemedicine.

Salary: $89,470.81–$137,647.40 per year.

Maryland Oncology Hematology is an independent oncology practice providing comprehensive cancer care, clinical research, and multidisciplinary treatment across Maryland and DC.

What you will do

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for oncology and hereditary-risk patients.
  • Conduct genetic risk assessments and counsel patients and families on inheritance, testing options, and care implications.
  • Interpret genetic test results and communicate findings to patients and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Develop and monitor individualized surveillance and risk-reduction plans for high-risk breast patients.
  • Provide clinical interventions, procedures, prescriptions, patient education, case management, and palliative care support.
  • Participate in tumor boards, quality improvement, staff education, mentoring, and cancer genetics research.

Requirements

  • Advanced Practice Provider qualification as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Clinical Nurse Specialist.
  • For Nurse Practitioners: accredited MSN and NP program, RN licensure, and NP certification in Maryland.
  • For Physician Assistants: accredited PA program, NCCPA certification, and Maryland PA license.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience; oncology or genetics experience is preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification and ability to work in an oncology clinical environment.
  • Genetics-focused training must be completed within 24 months of hire if not previously completed.

Nice to have

  • AOCNP certification.
  • Prior oncology or genetics experience.
  • Knowledge of NCCN and ACMG guidelines, variant reclassification, and secondary findings.
