SAP Basis Administrator

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

• Architect, install, configure, and operate SAP landscapes including S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and NetWeaver systems across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Administer SAP HANA databases, including sizing, replication, backup, recovery, performance tuning, and availability management.
• Plan and execute system copies, refreshes, upgrades, Support Package and kernel updates, and S/4HANA conversions.
• Design SAP migrations to AWS, Azure, GCP, and SAP RISE/Grow environments, including network and identity integration.
• Implement high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions, transport management workflows, monitoring, security patching, and operational runbooks.
• Provide 24x7 production on-call support, lead incident reviews, document procedures, and mentor junior Basis engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of SAP Basis or platform engineering experience in large enterprise environments; the position description also specifies 10+ years of experience.
• Strong production experience administering SAP HANA and operating S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and NetWeaver systems.
• Hands-on experience with SAP cloud migrations, upgrades, EHP and Support Package applications, and system conversions.
• Experience with SAP high-availability and disaster-recovery strategies, including HANA System Replication and clustering.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, or H-1B transfer candidates; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of SAP transport management, Solution Manager ChaRM, and CTS+.
• Experience with Focused Run, native HANA tools, external APM platforms, SAP Security/GRC collaboration, and compliance support.
