Network Automation Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States; onsite attendance is required during the first week and quarterly thereafter.

Salary: USD 120,000–130,000 yearly

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Python applications that connect to network devices, collect configuration and operational data, and automate changes.
• Host web applications on Linux servers and maintain service uptime.
• Provide engineering support and technical expertise across multiple client projects.
• Lead specific project areas related to network automation expertise and collaborate with broader delivery teams.
• Create technical documentation, contribute to knowledge sharing, and deliver briefings to client stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement, quality and compliance initiatives, and escalate project-impacting issues when needed.

Requirements

• US citizenship or Green Card holder status is required by contract.
• Approximately 8 years of relevant engineering experience in a client-facing or project-driven environment.
• Strong experience with network automation scripting and tooling, including Ansible, Terraform, or NetBox.
• Proficiency in Python and practical experience building automation tools; experience with Flask.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON or YAML, SQL databases, Git, and the Linux command line.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; CCNP-level or equivalent certifications are desired.

Nice to have

• Experience with PyATS for network test cases.
• Experience using Gluware for network configuration auditing.
• Experience developing with Netmiko to automate network devices.
