Maintenance Repair Technician (Aviation Ground Support)

Location: Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Phoenix, Arizona, United States; onsite airport work

What you will do

• Maintain, service, and repair PLC-controlled conveyor and baggage systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Respond to maintenance calls and help clear baggage jams.
• Record detailed maintenance information in the CMMS.
• Operate forklifts, golf carts, and company vehicles.
• Follow company safety programs and complete required training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of maintenance operations experience.
• Ability to obtain the necessary security clearance.
• Availability to work first or second shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work outdoors on an airport ramp, around aircraft and heavy equipment, and in confined baggage conveyor areas.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and perform ladder work, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and work in small spaces.

Nice to have

• Experience with 480V systems and three-phase motors.
• Mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair skills.
• Familiarity with airport operations and PLC control systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools, and CMMS software.
