What you will do

  • Respond to faults, malfunctions, outages, and service interruptions affecting passenger boarding bridges and ancillary gate equipment.
  • Diagnose issues using manuals, schematics, testing equipment, and supervisor guidance; replace parts and restore equipment operation.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and standard mechanical and electrical repairs on PBBs, PCA systems, GPUs, and related equipment.
  • Escalate complex failures, controls issues, recurring problems, safety concerns, and repairs requiring approval.
  • Assist senior technicians with complex repairs, emergency maintenance, and escalated issues.
  • Document work performed, equipment status, parts used, and repair activity in CMMS while following OEM, airport, and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary airport security clearances.
  • At least one year of mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, airport equipment, or related experience, or demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to read technical instructions, work orders, repair manuals, basic schematics, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work variable day and night schedules, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments to support 24/7 airport operations.
  • Ability to climb, balance, work from ladders, operate in small or elevated spaces, and regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Airport, aviation, industrial maintenance, field service, or facility maintenance experience.
  • Familiarity with motors, sensors, control panels, PLCs, HMIs, mechanical drives, and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with CMMS software and basic word processing and spreadsheet tools.
