Journeyman Electrician, Facility Services-3

Hourly wage: $33.00–$63.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, diagnostics, and major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, fixtures, and electrical systems.
• Use blueprints, repair manuals, parts catalogs, hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment to identify and replace defective parts.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts orders, invoices, warranty claims, purchase records, and contractor requirements.
• Ensure work complies with OSHA, EPA, and federal, state, and local safety and regulatory requirements.
• Operate and inspect vehicles, forklifts, heavy machinery, and powered equipment; maintain required documentation and safe working condition.
• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately every 4–6 weeks and respond to urgent facility incidents outside standard business hours.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in the electrical trade.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician or equivalent license in the state of work.
• License in a related trade in the city and/or state of work.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, complete documentation, coordinate with stakeholders, and operate equipment according to certification requirements.

Nice to have

• Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical trade program.
• Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
