Conflicts Attorney (Legal)

What you will do

• Analyze conflict-of-interest reports for new representations and lateral attorney hires.
• Resolve conflicts by obtaining waivers, drafting ethics wall memoranda, and creating screening restrictions.
• Review new matter information, engagement letters, and client outside counsel guidelines for compliance.
• Advise partners and management on complex conflicts and professional responsibility issues.
• Supervise Resolution Analysts and conduct training on the new matter approval process.
• Maintain conflict records, conduct corporate research, and develop practice-area analysis frameworks.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer or solicitor.
• At least 3 years of experience as a lawyer or solicitor in a conflicts department.
• Knowledge of conflicts-of-interest principles and professional responsibility rules across jurisdictions.
• Experience with legal and conflicts-clearance software, including Intapp, D&B/Hoovers, CapIQ, or BvD.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a complex environment.
