Sr Corporate Counsel I (AI)

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor, supplier, services, technology licensing, procurement, sales, NDA, amendment, and other business contracts.
• Provide practical legal advice on contract terms, legal risks, approval requirements, company policies, and business requirements.
• Identify non-standard terms, escalate issues, and drive practical, risk-based contractual resolutions.
• Manage contract lifecycle activities from drafting and negotiation through approval, execution, amendment, renewal, and archiving.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Information Security, and other functions.
• Support templates, playbooks, training, audits, process improvements, and coordination with outside counsel.

Requirements

• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification, with admission to practice law in Singapore or another relevant jurisdiction.
• Approximately 5–8 years of post-qualification transactional legal experience, preferably involving commercial contracts, technology transactions, procurement, sales, licensing, or cross-border matters.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, issue-spotting, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of commercial contracting principles and the legal and business implications of contract language.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required.
• Comfort using contract lifecycle management platforms, AI tools, Microsoft Office 365, and other business systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in a law firm, multinational company, or in-house legal department supporting commercial transactions.
• Experience advising technology, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, or sales teams.
• Familiarity with Singapore, APAC, and global commercial legal issues, including data privacy, trade compliance, anti-corruption, and competition law.
• Experience with AI, legal technology, automation, or process improvement initiatives.
