Legal Counsel, Commercial

Location: Singapore, SG office; hybrid with in-office expectations

What you will do

• Review and negotiate enterprise-level cloud service and SaaS customer agreements across Asia.
• Provide legal support for revenue-generating, commercialization, and bespoke new-market entry activities.
• Advise field sales teams on complex transactions and help close enterprise deals.
• Maintain and update legal templates for compliance with evolving local and federal laws.
• Provide guidance on Databricks technology, products, security, compliance architecture, and local standards.
• Partner with Finance, Information Security, and Product teams to align contracting processes and policies with local business norms.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of relevant commercial legal transactional experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house at a high-growth SaaS company.
• Experience drafting and negotiating sell-side cloud software transactions with enterprise customers across Asia.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy, data sovereignty, public sector, information security, AI, intellectual property, and open-source software issues.
• Experience with cloud-based software, consumption-based, and commit-based business models.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and remain responsive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized law school and qualification to practice law in Singapore.
