Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (Biotechnology)

Location: New York, NY; on-site presence in the NYC offices at least 2 days per week is required

Salary: $125,000–$130,000 annually, based on job-related knowledge, experience, education, and skills.

What you will do

• Develop financial plans by partnering with business owners across the organization and understanding their operational needs.
• Manage forecasting and cash runway models in Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Review contracts, incorporate month-end actuals, and perform budget-to-actuals variance analysis.
• Communicate forecast updates and financial variances to key stakeholders and senior management.
• Build operating and valuation models for business development opportunities and support due diligence and transaction execution.
• Prepare Board presentations and implement process and reporting improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Three to five years of experience in financial planning or accounting.
• Strong forecasting, financial accounting, analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and advanced Excel skills; NetSuite experience is preferred.
• CPA certification is required.
• Strong written, oral communication, presentation, organization, and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with NetSuite.
