Lead Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (Biotech)

Location: Hybrid role based in the RTP, NC office, requiring at least three days per week onsite; in-office requirements may increase based on business needs.

What you will do

• Develop, analyze, and improve product, net revenue, inventory, and long-range financial forecasts.
• Build financial models and scenario analyses that translate business drivers into strategic and operational projections.
• Partner with commercial, manufacturing, accounting, finance, and budget-management teams to align forecasting assumptions and methodologies.
• Support accruals, reconciliations, period-close activities, annual budgeting, and operational metric tracking.
• Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and provide financial and strategic recommendations to senior leaders.
• Create standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations while leading FP&A process-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a master’s degree may qualify with 6+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• 8+ years of accounting or finance experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 6+ years with a master’s degree.
• Prior experience with an ERP system and experience working in a large organization.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, organizational, and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and data visualization; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry and the ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels.
