Assembly Operator Lead - 3rd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Solon, Ohio, United States; onsite, 3rd shift

What you will do

• Lead assembly production processes and maintain daily production, safety, quality, and delivery goals.
• Serve as the primary backup to the Production Supervisor and the first escalation point for production, machine, process, safety, and quality issues.
• Assign work, adjust staffing and workflow, remove production roadblocks, and coordinate material and information flow.
• Run, set up, adjust, and troubleshoot assembly machinery and support first-piece inspections.
• Coach, train, and develop employees while leading continuous improvement through MDI, 5S, waste elimination, and Kaizen activities.
• Track assembly, automation, and packing schedules; maintain production databases, ihirify.globalory records, attendance reports, and Excel spreadsheets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8+ years of manufacturing or production experience.
• Ability to lead and multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting operational deadlines.
• Ability to identify, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve non-conforming machine, process, product, safety, quality, and environmental issues.
• Ability to coach, train, and develop employees and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to bend, squat, reach overhead, climb stairs and ladders, lift and carry at least 25 pounds, work in confined spaces, and operate powered industrial trucks.
