Team Manager, 3rd Shift (Manufacturing): Leading a third-shift manufacturing team and coordinating production activities, workforce planning, labor relations, and safety with an accent on productivity, quality, resource utilization, and continuous improvement. Focus on coaching shift leaders, optimizing production flow, reducing waste, and maintaining lean manufacturing and ISO standards.

Location: Mill Hall, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite, 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

What you will do

  • Directly supervise third-shift production employees and coordinate staffing, schedules, workload, and resource utilization.
  • Manage operational performance across service, quality, productivity, cost, safety, and housekeeping metrics.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to resolve production issues, improve manufacturing processes, and reduce waste and complexity.
  • Lead 5S, housekeeping, waste reduction, standard work, and business audit activities.
  • Coach, mentor, train, and develop shift leaders, assistant shift leaders, and hourly manufacturing employees.
  • Lead safety huddles, emergency drills, near-miss and accident investigations, and support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least 4 years of manufacturing operations experience, preferably in a chemical plant working with hazardous materials and reactive chemistry.
  • Experience leading employees directly or indirectly, with the ability to manage, coach, and develop a diverse workforce.
  • Strong decision-making, anticipation, operational analysis, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing tools and processes, including Kaizen events, 5S, standard work, and waste reduction.
  • Experience with ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 is preferred.
