Medical Science Liaison (Dermatology)

Location: United States; primarily remote. Coverage includes Chicagoland, New England, and Mid Atlantic territories. Approximately 50% travel is required for medical meetings, team meetings, and other group meetings, including some weekends.

Salary: $195,000–$235,000 USD annually, plus stock options and an annual bonus program.

What you will do

• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Dermatology key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
• Map, identify, profile, and prioritize thought leaders in line with medical strategy.
• Manage the assigned geography and support clinical development, including site identification, trial recruitment, study milestones, and data presentations.
• Attend medical conferences, report relevant findings, and gather insights from healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate on publications, advisory boards, medical education, training, and speaker development.
• Provide scientific expertise to external disease experts and internal stakeholders, contribute to Medical Affairs workstreams, and maintain accurate activity documentation.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a scientific, clinical, or medical-related discipline, such as PharmD, PhD, MSN, DNP, PA-C, or MPH.
• At least 3 years of experience in an MSL role, including experience as a Dermatology MSL.
• Established Dermatology KOL networks and active relationships within the assigned territory.
• Understanding of compliance requirements and ability to work compliantly.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, engagement, initiative, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and thrive in ambiguous situations.

Nice to have

• Launch, pre-launch, psoriasis, or Rheumatology experience.
• Experience in a start-up environment.
