TL;DR
Medical Science Liaison, Nephrology (Nephrology/Immunology): Building evidence-based medical education and healthcare solutions across a regional nephrology ecosystem with an accent on stakeholder engagement, clinical science, and patient-centric care. Focus on supporting clinical trials, generating medical insights, training speakers, and translating complex clinical and health economic information into improved patient outcomes.

Location: Remote, field-based role covering Northeast Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin; preferred living location is a key city within the territory. Business travel by air or car may reach 70%.

Salary: $150,034–$224,250 annually, plus incentive opportunity.

What you will do

  • Contribute clinical and scientific expertise to regional ecosystem plans addressing healthcare challenges and opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key influencers, healthcare providers, local practice leaders, decision makers, patient advocacy organizations, and other medical customers.
  • Provide evidence-based clinical, scientific, health economic, and humanistic information on nephrology, immunology, and approved hirify.global products.
  • Collect medical insights and share customer and healthcare landscape information to support evidence generation and healthcare solution priorities.
  • Support registrational, post-marketing, investigator-sponsored clinical trials, and health economic outcomes research, including site selection and performance.
  • Train promotional and disease-state speakers, participate in the speaker bureau, mentor colleagues, and support safety, pharmacovigilance, and sales training activities.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, PharmD, PhD in life sciences, or a master's degree with equivalent clinical experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry Medical Affairs experience.
  • Deep understanding of health systems, patient care delivery, and collaboration with healthcare professionals and decision makers.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, conflict resolution, strategic leadership, presentation, and business acumen skills.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements, with the ability to work in an ambiguous and transforming environment.
  • Ability to travel by air or car up to 70% of the time and preferably live in a key city within the assigned territory.

Nice to have

  • Training or experience in immune-mediated kidney disease.
