Project Engineer 2

Location: Anderson, South Carolina, United States; onsite at the Anderson office

What you will do

• Manage engineering technical contributions for new product development programs and mature-product support.
• Drive product-function evolution against consumer-driven design guides, cost, timing, and reliability goals.
• Lead product architecture and design development for high-volume manufacturing using Concurrent Product Development methods.
• Evaluate design alternatives, validate technical concepts, and implement approved designs into mass production.
• Manage component and assembly integration, material selection, packaging, safety, regulatory compliance, and standards compliance.
• Develop specifications, prototype and pilot plans, testing programs, design reviews, technical data packages, engineering changes, and Bills of Material.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, preferably mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar field, or an MS degree.
• Expertise with SolidWorks and/or NX8.5 design software.
• Ability to communicate across functional areas and internationally.
• Ability to work independently with urgency and initiative.
• Experience with international travel is desired; travel is required for the role.
