Project Engineer 1 (Mechanical Engineering)

What you will do

• Manage multiple product development projects from early concept through mass production.
• Coordinate daily technical and project communications among engineering, non-technical, and international stakeholders.
• Drive product designs that meet cost, timing, reliability, safety, and high-volume manufacturing requirements.
• Evaluate design alternatives and lead the integration of components, assemblies, materials, packaging, and safety features.
• Write and refine product, performance, and testing specifications based on technology and customer requirements.
• Lead design and safety reviews, quality compliance activities, patent searches, and patent development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in mechanical engineering and product development.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with design development methods such as Value and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, design of experiments, design for manufacture, assembly and inspection, CAD analysis, and 3D design tools.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Nice to have

• Internal combustion engine design experience.
• Plastic tooling and structural design experience.
• Consumer product or electronic consumer product development experience.
