Sr. Project Engineer 1 (Mechanical/Product Development)

What you will do

• Manage all technical contributions for assigned new product development programs and mature product support.
• Drive product function, cost, timing, reliability, and consumer/value-driven design goals.
• Lead product architecture and provide direction to design teams for original layouts and technical data packages suitable for high-volume manufacturing.
• Evaluate design alternatives, validate specifications, and implement selected designs into mass production.
• Manage component and assembly integration, material selection, packaging, safety, regulatory compliance, specifications, prototypes, pilot plans, and testing.
• Conduct design and safety reviews, approve technical data packages, complete engineering documentation, and drive quality compliance using tools including FMEA, DOE, SPC, DFM/DFA/DFI, CAD analysis, fluid dynamics, and 3D design.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of experience in a similar field.
• Expertise with SolidWorks and/or NX design software.
• Ability to communicate across functional areas and internationally.
• Urgent and proactive working style, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
