What you will do
- Manage multiple product development projects from early concept through mass production.
- Coordinate daily technical and project communications with engineering and non-technical stakeholders in Anderson and internationally.
- Drive product designs that meet cost, timing, reliability, safety, regulatory, and high-volume manufacturing requirements.
- Evaluate design alternatives, integrate complex components and assemblies, and guide material selection and packaging decisions.
- Write and refine product, performance, and testing specifications based on technology and customer requirements.
- Lead design, safety, quality, patent, and phase-approval activities, using tools such as FMEA, design of experiments, CAD analysis, and 3D design.
Requirements
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in mechanical engineering and product development.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to support design for manufacture, assembly, inspection, quality compliance, and regulatory standards.
- Availability to work onsite in Anderson, South Carolina, and travel internationally.
